SMG ERP is private software written for and used solely by Satisfaction Machine Group LLC, a precision machine shop in Garner, North Carolina. It is not offered, sold, or made available to anyone else.

What information it handles

SMG ERP records Satisfaction Machine Group's own business information: its jobs, parts, materials, suppliers, customers, quality records and invoices. Customer information is limited to what is needed to quote, manufacture and invoice an order — company name, business contact details, purchase order numbers and shipping addresses.

Where that information is kept

All of it is stored in a single database file on computers owned and controlled by Satisfaction Machine Group. There is no cloud service, no hosted account and no third-party analytics.

QuickBooks Online

With the owner's authorisation, SMG ERP connects to Satisfaction Machine Group's own QuickBooks Online company in order to create invoices. It reads and writes only that company's data, only when instructed, and only for Satisfaction Machine Group's own bookkeeping. Access can be revoked at any time from within QuickBooks.

What is never done

• Information is never sold, rented or traded.

• Information is never shared for advertising or marketing.

• No information is shared with any party other than Intuit for the invoicing described above.

Retention

Business and quality records are retained for ten years, in line with Satisfaction Machine Group's AS9100D document control procedure.

SMG ERP is proprietary software owned by Satisfaction Machine Group LLC. It is used internally by Satisfaction Machine Group and is not distributed, licensed, sold or otherwise made available to any third party.

Permitted use

Use is limited to Satisfaction Machine Group LLC and its authorised personnel, on equipment it owns or controls, for the operation of its own business.

Ownership

All rights in the software remain with Satisfaction Machine Group LLC. No right to copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works is granted to anyone else.

No warranty

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Satisfaction Machine Group LLC accepts no liability arising from its use, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Third-party services

Where the software connects to QuickBooks Online, that service is governed by Intuit's own terms, which the account holder accepts separately with Intuit.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
